Q:  Can we network the software?

A:  Yes.  However, your agency will be required to purchase a license agreement for each individual and/or computer that has access to the networked software depending upon the circumstances of the setup.  Even if the agency limits the number of users that can access the network and software at any given time.

Q:  Can we purchase a license agreement and install the software on a computer in our communications/dispatch center and communicate the information to our personnel?

A:  Yes.  However, Public Safety Technologies, Inc. considers the use of our software in this manner the same as networking the software.  Therefore, the agency will be required to purchase a license agreement for every individual that is dispatched through the communications/dispatch center that will be able to gain access to the information contained in the software.  Even if they are from another agency but use your communications/dispatch center.

If the communications/dispatch center has the means to transmit the information through wireless technology to a mobile computer in a vehicle, or any other electronic device, the agency would have to purchase a license agreement for each mobile computer or other electronic device that would be capable of receiving such transmission.

Public Safety Technologies, Inc. strongly discourages communicating our software via radio dispatch or telephone due to the potential liability issues that could arise for the agency.  During an incident with many things happening at once, communicating the information in this manner could lead to the information being misinterpreted and inappropriate actions being taken due to that misinterpreted information.  This could lead to injury or possibly, even death of the first responder or citizens.  Which, in turn, could cause the agency to be liable.  Public Safety Technologies, Inc. assumes no liability should you choose to use the software in this manner.
